What it means to be human. To be human is to be different from other species. The definition of Human is of, pertaining to, characteristic of, or having the nature of people: human frailty. To be human is not only the way you are built but the way in which you interact with others. To empathize for someone, is to have the same feeling as them and been through something similar to them. To sympathize for someone, is to feel bad for them, but do not have the same experiance as them. Empathizing and sympathizing is the difference between a human and any other species. Being human is also accepting other cultures.
